Mulih Privacy policy

Last updated

This policy explains what data Mulih handles and where it goes. In short: your prayer records stay on your device, and nothing is sent to Sararia.

Data stored on your device

Your prayer records, qadha records, statistics, selected city, and settings are stored on your device. Sararia does not operate a server for Mulih and never receives this data.

Prayer times

To show prayer times, Mulih requests the schedule for the city you selected from the MyQuran API (api.myquran.com), which publishes data from Indonesia's Ministry of Religious Affairs. Only the city identifier and the date are sent. Your prayer records are not.

Location (qibla)

The qibla compass uses your device's location to calculate the direction of the Kaaba. Location is requested only when you open the qibla screen, is processed on your device, and is not stored or sent anywhere.

Notifications

Prayer time reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to back up, Mulih asks you to sign in with Google and requests these permissions:

  • drive.appdata: access to a hidden app-specific folder in your Google Drive.
  • drive.file: access only to files that Mulih itself creates.

Mulih uses them only to store and retrieve your backup file. It cannot see other files in your Drive. The backup is sent directly from your device to your Google account; it never passes through Sararia.

Mulih's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What Mulih does not do

  • No ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no selling or sharing of data.
  • No account with Sararia.

Deleting your data

  • On your device: clear the app's data or uninstall Mulih.
  • Backup: delete it from inside the app, or in Google Drive go to Settings → Manage apps → Mulih → Delete hidden app data. You can revoke Mulih's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
